Because apparently, the book of Ruth is not just a biblical rom-com with a barley field meet-cute and the ancient version of Mr. Right.

I used to think Ruth was the original Cinderella story. Tragic backstory. Noble man. Surprise harvest romance.

But the more I studied it to teach, the more I realized:
It’s less fairy tale, more faith-in-the-waiting.
Less romance, more revelation.
Less Boaz, more hesed—God’s covenant kindness that keeps showing up in grief, awkward moments, and barley gleaning.

This blog series isn’t a rehash of my notes—it’s the rabbit trails I couldn’t stop following. Threads I’m tugging on. Kindness that’s undone me.
